Thank you for purchasing the Luxury Spa Pet Bathing System.  To ensure your satisfaction and safety, follow all instructions in this bulletin.

The Luxury Spa Pet Bathing System includes the following items:

Instructions

  1. Connect the Hose Assembly (B) to the Pump (A) by hand.  Tighten snuggly.
  2. Fill the bathing tub with ˝ to 1 inch of water and add a sufficient amount of low-suds shampoo to the water.
  3. Set the Pump (A) in the water in an upright position.
  4. Plug the GFCI Box (D) into a suitable wall receptacle in a dry area.
  5. Plug the Footswitch (C) into the GFCI Box (D).

WARNING: It is possible for the Footswitch (C) to be activated when plugged into the GFCI Box (D).  To prevent unintentionally spraying water hold the flow nozzle end of the Hose Assembly (B) over the tub when the Pump (A) is plugged into the three-prong receptacle of the Footswitch (C).   The switch is not a momentary switch and latches to the ON or OFF position each time the Footswitch (C) bulb is pressed. If the Footswitch (C) is latched ON (the pump is running) press the Footswitch (C) bulb once to unlatch.

  1. Plug the Pump (A) electrical cord into the three-prong receptacle of the Footswitch (C).  The bathing system is now ready for use.
  2. Point the nozzle of the Hose Assembly (B) toward the bottom of the tub and press the Footswitch (C) bulb once to switch the Pump (A) ON.
  3. Adjust the nozzle’s flow control valve for the desired flow and pressure.
  4. Begin bathing the pet.

CAUTION: Sometimes a large or longhaired animal will soak up the bath water and there will be insufficient water in the tub for the Pump (A) to stay primed.  DO NOT run the pump dry or if it loses suction.

  1. Add water to the bathing tub as necessary to keep the pump from losing suction.
  2. When finished bathing, press the Footswitch (C) bulb once to stop the pump.

Rinsing and Conditioning

  1. Rinse using the traditional method or use the bathing system as outlined in steps 13 through 17.
  2. Drain the bathing tub and refill the tub with freshwater.
  3. If applying a conditioner or other treatment, apply the conditioner or treatment to the coat by hand.
  4.  Pointing the nozzle toward the bottom of the tub, press the Footswitch (C) bulb once to start the Pump (A).
  5. Repeat steps 9 through 11 until the pet’s coat is thoroughly rinsed.
  6. Never reuse old bath or rinse water on other pets.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Clean the bathing system weekly by adding 2 cups of vinegar to freshwater in the bathing tub or a bucket and circulate through the pump for several minutes to remove any soap and conditioning residue from the system.

Disinfect the system weekly or after bathing a pet with a skin ailment by adding the proper amount of disinfectant to freshwater and circulate through the system for several minutes.

ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD

NEVER remove the round ground prong on the Pump (A) cord, Footswitch (C) receptacle, or the GFCI Box (D) cord.  Always plug the Footswitch (C) into the GFCI Box (D) to protect from electrical shock.  For additional protection, it is advised that the GFCI Box (D) be plugged into a GFCI in the branch circuit supplying power to the bathing system.

Refer to the included pump instructions for additional safety and warranty information.
